"New Deal Policy"

Today, I learned about the "New Deal Policy"

The main purposes of New deal policy were 3R: Relief, Recovery, Reform.

There were several programs about the new deal policy.

Private business didn't invest, but speculate	New Financial Regulations	Banks are insured by federal government for the case of bankruptcy	FDIC
Banks did fraud	Glass-Steagall Act(1933)	Split banks into investment banks and commercial banks
Government needed money for programs	Deficit spending	Issued government bonds
Working condition was bad	Fair Labor Standards Act(1938)	8 hour day, 40 hour week, time and a half overtime pay, prohibit employment of minors, federal minimum wage

After these programs, Franklin D. Roosevelt was re-elected. 

But, he stopped deficit spending, and relied on private business hire. 

Then, U.S. was in 2nd depression. (1939) 

Unemployment rate was 17%.
